FOUNDERS OF KL TENNIS ACADEMY
Maria Kondratieva and Sophie Lefevre, co-founders of KL Tennis Academy, share a lifelong passion for the game and a deep friendship built on over two decades of competition and collaboration. Since first training together in 2002, they’ve traveled the world as professional players, competed at the highest level of the WTA Tour, and now bring that world-class experience to the courts of West Palm Beach, Florida.

At just 17, Maria moved to Germany to pursue her dream of becoming a professional tennis player, a dream she realized in 1999.
SOPHIE LEFEVRE
Former WTA Player | USPTA Elite Certified Professional | Co-Founder, KL Tennis Academy
Sophie turned professional in 1998 and went on to compete at the highest levels of the WTA Tour, including 15 Grand Slam main draws.
Gisele Bazin
Senior Assistant Coach
Gisele brings over 20 years of coaching and athletic experience, highlighted by her World No. 1 doubles and World No. 6 singles rankings in the ITF Senior Over 40 years old category. Before joining KL Tennis Academy six years ago, she coached at top academies in Rio de Janeiro and built a strong background in fitness, Pilates, strength training, and athletic performance.
Known for her enthusiasm and positive coaching energy, Gisele helps players of all ages improve their strength, confidence, and on-court performance.

Kevin Pinoargote
Assistant Coach
Born in New Jersey and raised in Ecuador, Kevin began playing tennis at eight years old and went on to compete in junior tournaments, ITF Futures, and Challenger events. His competitive background gives him a strong understanding of player development and modern tennis fundamentals.
For the past two years, Kevin has been part of the KL Tennis Academy team, where he is known for his upbeat personality, patience, and clear technical instruction. He is dedicated to helping players of all ages build confidence, improve their technique, and truly enjoy the game.
