Co-Founder & Tennis Director – KL Tennis Academy Palm Beach
Originally from Toulouse, France, Sophie Lefevre enjoyed a 16-year career on the WTA Tour, competing in the main draws of 15 Grand Slam tournaments in singles, doubles, and mixed doubles. She reached a career-high WTA doubles ranking of World No. 76 and No. 216 in singles, earning national recognition as France’s No. 1 doubles player in 2011.
Her professional highlights include winning the French Doubles Championship (2005), the French Team Championship (2004), and multiple international doubles titles on the ITF and WTA circuits. Sophie has recorded victories over elite players including Wozniacki, Cîrstea, Kirilenko, Pennetta, Zakopalová, Vesnina, Flipkens, and Lepchenko, reflecting her skill, strategy, and perseverance at the highest level. Sophie competed against the best players in the world.
In 2013, Sophie was awarded a U.S. Green Card for
Extraordinary Abilities in Tennis, recognizing her exceptional playing career and contribution to the sport.
Since then, she has devoted her time to coaching and leadership, co-founding KL Tennis Academy Palm Beach and serving as Tennis Director at the Tennis Club of Palm Beach.
Sophie combines world-tour experience with a strong academic and professional foundation — holding certifications from the French Tennis Federation (BE1) and as a USPTA Elite Professional. Known for her exceptional doubles expertise, dynamic coaching, and positive energy, she creates programs that inspire confidence, discipline, excellence and passion in players of all ages and levels. “Tennis is more than a sport — it’s a journey of self-belief, growth, and joy. My goal is to help every player feel proud of their progress, one step at a time.”
